Taylors, South Carolina – After a “long and happy life” a toy fox terrier named Pebbles has passed away. Pebbles was just five months away from her 23rd birthday when she died on October 3 and she was recognized as the World’s Oldest Dog by Guinness World Records.
Pebbles lived with Bobby and Julie Gregory, who described the pint-sized pooch as having a larger-than-life personality. Julie credits Pebbles’ longevity to being loved and treated well. She said, “Treat [your pet] like family, because they are. Give them a happy, positive environment as much as possible, good clean food, and proper health care.”
According to a press release, Pebbles “passed away of natural causes peacefully, at home with her family.”
Her family calls her a “once-in-a-lifetime companion,” noting that she will be “deeply missed.”
Rest in peace Pebbles.
