Forked River, NJ – A New Jersey animal shelter is seeking a home for a young, under socialized Golden Retriever named Dorothy. The Associated Humane Popcorn Park Shelter shared photos of Dorothy, writing:
We see the photos and articles on what goes on in the worst of puppy mills, but we’ll never know the terror and loneliness they’ve felt all their lives. We are so grateful that Dorothy was rescued from all of that, thanks to a good rescue that brought her to us recently. Dorothy is only about 1 1/2 years old and she’s very under-socialized and fearful of everything new.
The shelter hopes to find someone who has a confident dog to help teach Dorothy that the world does not have to be feared. A person who is patient and kind and willing to take on a dog who will blossom with love and structure.

Puppy mill operators and their ilk make me want this world to explode. If enough of us wanted puppy mills (etc. etc.) to cease to exist, it would be done. They never would have been tolerated from day one if “humans” were anything resembling ethical. What the hell is wrong with the “human” race??
puppy mills need unannounced inspections, the cruelty that goes in is unreal!!!!
They’re inspected regularly by crooked officials, and they’re protected by the American Kennel Club (AKC) which makes a lot of money off all those puppy registrations.

You first have to tackle the Pet Stores because Puppy Mills is where they get their dogs!! Sometimes it is in-state Puppy Mill, sometimes the puppy will come from out of state, maybe 2 to 3 states away from where the Pet Store is!! AND you will find that the managers in these Pet Stores will not take the puppy to a Vet if the puppy needs the Vet!! They just let the puppy die!!! And No, these are not humans, they are robots with the makings of humans and they act according to the way they should act!! I have tried and tried to get states to read what I say about these places, some of the police officers know this, some of the people know this, but unless we, the people, take this under our wing and get rid of the PET STORES first, there will be puppy mills because I believe some people just don’t believe what I say about the puppy mills being so bad!! Believe me they are bad, I have actually seen one by accident!!!!
