Mexico’s Last Dog Racing Track Closes, Greyhounds In Need Of Homes

Tijuana, Mexico – On Sunday, dog racing came to an end in Mexico. The final race took place at Agua Caliente in Tijuana.

Now, 150 greyhounds are in need of new homes. On Friday, the Greyhound Adoption Center wrote of the work being done to get the dogs to adoption groups:

Local California greyhound groups are working together along with the track and the National Greyhound Association (NGA) to get the greyhounds out and into adoption groups. All of us have one goal; the welfare of the greyhounds. The greyhounds come first. Everything is and will be done to make sure the hounds in Mexico will be cared for until the last greyhound leaves the track.
