Amityville, NY – A senior dog, 13 years of age, has been overlooked and passed by for nearly three years at the Babylon Animal Shelter. The dog, Bindi, is losing hope of ever being loved by a person of her own.
On Monday, a post to Bindi’s Facebook page reveals the senior dog’s growing despair:
I am 13 years old and absolutely 🥰 adorable
I really need your help
I have been in the shelter almost 3 long years.
Can you tell me why nobody wants me?💔
I really am not doing that well in the shelter
it can be very stressful here.
I hope there is someone out there that will give me a chance.
Bindi’s favorite things include a great day of fetch, and couch snuggles for movie time. Bindi is best suited to being the only pet in the home.
Please share Bindi’s story to help her find a home to spend the remainder of her life in. She has been homeless for far too long.

Bindi NEEDS a loving Home —
Poor poor boy…I hope he will find a loving home soon….But please don’t give him to evil people, then this shelter is at least a safer place for him…..There are too many bad people in this country, be carefull!
Has she found a home? Can I adopt out of state? She will fit right in with my elderly girls.
Contact the shelter directly and ask. The info is at the bottom of the article. There are pet transportation companies that help with exactly that type of thing.

Hi Debb – Can you call the animal shelter and ask if you can adopt out of state? 631-643-9270
I pray that you can. Unfortunately, sometimes, they have stupid rules that make it almost impossible to help these deserving loving down on their luck pets. I pray she can be rescued and adopted into a loving home.
God Bless,
Lori
Poor sweet baby, I hope she will find a good, loving home soon.
too bad I can’t adopt her. I live in a different state. hope she finds a good home.
That’s okay! If you contact the shelter, they may be able to put you in contact with a rescue that could help with transport! Lots of animals are transported to other states for adoption or foster placement.
Poor Bindi…I pray she gets to live with kind, loving, smart people who know how to treat her well and be responsible for keeping her from possibly fighting with other dogs/pets, IF that’s the reason she needs to be the “only pet in the home.” She deserves so much better than to be stuck in a shelter for so very long. Slimy people are to blame, as usual. Good people to the rescue soon, hopefully!
Seniors are the best dogs. They are trained usually calmer and you know what you are getting. I hope someone sees that in this beautiful girl Bindi. I love you Bindi.
