Las Vegas, NV – A Nevada animal shelter is past critical capacity after taking in dozens of dogs and puppies from a breeder. The Animal Foundation said that 38 dogs from one home, including a nursing mom with her four puppies, and four pregnant dogs, were rescued earlier this week, pushing the number of animals in their care to over 850.
The non-profit organization said:
Our kennels are full, and we are now using emergency pop-up kennels to temporarily house dogs in our community center.
The agency said that the dogs recently seized are not available for adoption yet:
These dogs are not currently available for foster or adoption due to a legal hold, but we have 249 dogs at The Animal Foundation waiting for foster or adoptive homes today.
